Images in TwwDBGrid using ImageIndex control not showing transparent background.

I'm using a TwwDBGrid and have a column that shows an icon in each cell. I'm, getting these from a TVirtualImageList.  However the images do not respect the transparent background of the icon and always appear with a solid background color.  This looks bad especially when using a Dark Style.

Any thoughts on how to get the images in grids to respect transparency?  I have futzed around with the various options in the Grid under the Grid.Images property but with no luck.

  Quick update.  I found this code in procedure DisplayBitmapFromImageList in wwdbigrd unit:

  if ImageList.DrawingStyle = dsTransparent then  
  
  I just hacked that to always be true and that fixed the background drawing problem.  But it's just a temporary fix for now.
